Republishing guidelines for Not Even Past

Not Even Past is a not-for-profit Public History magazine.  We collect no income whatsoever.  We are a Public History site that believes in the free flow of high quality academic content.

We publish under a Creative Commons — Attribution/No derivatives license. This means you can republish our articles with the following conditions:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.

Our articles are the work of leading scholars and specialists. If you wish to republish individual articles, you must also follow these guidelines:

  • You cannot edit Not Even Past articles. If you desire to edit them, you will need to gain the approval of the author.
  • You must credit the author and Not Even Past. You must include a link back to the original.
  • You cannot sell our articles nor can you republish large numbers of our articles without permission.
  • You must seek your own image permissions when you republish articles. Some image providers do not allow for republication of their images. It is your responsibility to source image permissions.
